Imbibe and Ganeden Join Forces to Predict Top 3 Trending Ingredients of 2017

Some ingredient webinarof the most impactful mega trends of the food and beverage industry include convenience, having some kind of “health halo,” and products with a functional claim. These trends are propelling the growth of certain ingredients and technologies, specifically sugar reduction, protein and probiotics. The functional food and beverage category is expected to reach $279 billion by 2021, which represents a 60% increase from 2014. Each of these ingredient categories is experiencing tremendous growth, which contributes to the overall growth of functional food.

On Tuesday, February 7th, Imbibe, the Chicago-based beverage development company, and Ganeden, one of the leading suppliers of probiotics, will join forces to present some critical insights on sugar reduction, protein and probiotics, all of which have become pervasive across all food and beverage categories. Products that are perceived as nutrient-rich or that provide added value have a higher likelihood of finding success in the grocery aisle. This half hour webinar (which begins at 10:00 AM CST) will highlight some of the most popular marketing claims that position food and beverages as better-for-you.

Food and beverage professionals looking to develop a stronger health halo around their products will learn about new technologies and strategies that they will be able to bring back and share with their teams.
