Rich and decadent dessert-inspired flavors offer a little luxury and a delightful escape from the problems of the day. We’ve seen indulgent Cookie Butter in creamers, granola, chocolate bars, ice cream, doughnuts, coffee mixes, and protein powder. Cookie Butter flavor has grown in social conversations by 20% over the last year.¹This year, Michigan dispensary, butter, launched a THC-infused Edible Cookie Butter inspired by Belgian speculoos cookies, and Krispy Kreme and Biscoff® released their Cookie Butter Cheesecake Doughnut, Chocolate Iced Cookie Butter Crunch Doughnut, and Cookie Butter Iced Doughnut LTOs. In 2023, Paris Baguette introduced Cookie Butter Donuts and Lattes to their winter menu, Off Track Ice Cream released Cinnamon Cookie Butter Ice Cream, and Ziploc® x Milk Bar released a limited-edition Holiday Mix with Cookie Butter, their version of the “puppy chow” cereal-based snack.

The decadent taste of rich espresso and creamy ice cream is a delightful combination for many consumers as bitter, sweet, and creamy notes mingle on the tongue. We’ve seen Affogato in cookies, desserts, creamers, coffee mixes, and even beer. This year Keurig released limited edition McCafé Affogato K-cup Pods. Last year, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream introduced L’Affogato to their menus nationwide featuring a choice of ice cream drowned in Slingshot Coffee’s Italian roast cold brew. Also in 2023, limited-edition BigFace Coffee Affogato Ice Cream returned to Van Leeuwen Scoop Shops. Affogato flavor has grown in social conversations by 61% over the last year,¹ as seen with #affogato posts reaching more than half a million across TikTok and Instagram. When searching for Affogato, people also search for Matcha Affogato, which increased by 55% over the last year.²
