Imbibe Develops Pea Protein Masker

NILES, ILL. — Imbibe has developed the NonSense Pea Protein Masker, an ingredient that may be used to mask the off-flavor notes associated with pea protein.

The ingredient, available in powder and liquid forms, may help manufacturers eliminate beany off-notes, bitterness and other textures.

Imbibe said the ingredient will not alter the protein content or nutritional profile of a formulation featuring pea protein.
