Breakfast with Imbibe: Experts Weigh In On Sugar Reduction

If you’re sweet on sugar reduction strategies, join Imbibe and Chicago Section IFT for breakfast from 8 AM to 10 AM on October 16. Learn about sugar reduction strategies from a cross-functional panel of beverage experts on developing reduced, low and no-sugar products at the benchtop level through commercialization. Panelists will answer questions relating to the costs associated with sugar reduction, challenges encountered when reformulating products that use less sugar, the impact of replacing or removing sugar on taste, and the limits of using certain sweeteners across markets. In addition to gaining a better understanding of the technical and regulatory aspects of sugar reduction, attendees will have an opportunity to taste and compare products that use modern sweetener and flavor modulating technologies.

Imbibe Panelist Include:
Liz Sisel, Ingredient Technologist
Guy Affolaby, Manager of Regulatory Affairs
