CBD Products Are In Demand
The Cannabidiol (CBD) market is expected to experience explosive growth in the next five years. CBD is a non-psychoactive chemical compound found in marijuana and hemp suggested to aid with pain and anxiety. CBD products on the market range from supplements to cocktails, and despite the legal grey area surrounding the ingredient many more are expected to enter the market.
Cannabis industry analysts The Brightfield Group predict the U.S. CBD market will reach $591 million this year and $22 billion by 2022 (a five-year CAGR of 132%).

CBD is starting to pop up on coffee shop menus and is especially popular in matcha beverages.
Alfred Coffee in LA and Caffeine Underground in NYC permanently added CBD infusions to the menu, and other cafes like Steap in San Francisco tested out CBD as a LTO.
CBD spiked cocktails have been an “underground” menu item at a handful of bars and restaurants for a few years, but now several establishments promote their CBD concoctions to attract customers. Try one at Adriaen Block in Astoria, Queens and Gracias Madre in West Hollywood, California.
CBD isn’t just found in drinks. The James Hotel in NYC has a CBD tasting menu that includes dishes like tots and butter lettuce salad. Pop-up restaurant Be-Hive Deli Market in Nashville has a CBD coconut bar and raw date brownie ball.
RTD
Enhanced water is one of the most popular applications for CBD beverages. Endo, CBD Living, My Water, PLNT and Quantam waters are available online and in select stores.
CBD infused coffee and tea started in cafés, but enhanced RTDs are on the rise. Cuvée Cold Brew Nitro Hemp Oil Coffee and Kickback The O.G. CBD Cold Brew Coffee are a couple products currently on the market.
On the sweeter side of things are CBD juices and sodas. CBD enhanced beverages include Dirty Lemon CBD Blend, Tree Below Zero’s natural sparkling juice sodas, and Vybes organic juices.
Snacks
Candies are also getting the CBD treatment. Chocolates, gummy bears, lollipops, mints and more are available.
Veggiemins, Lulu’s Chocolate, and Vital Leaf are a few of the chocolate options.
CBD snacks gained a lot of attention at this year’s Expo West — especially Weller’s Hemp Extract Coconut Bites.
