Justin Cline to Speak on Formulating Protein Beverages

JustinCWith rising consumer demand for on-the-go functional beverages, product developers are looking to add higher quantities of protein to great tasting beverages. While adding protein to a beverage has numerous benefits such as an enhanced nutritional profile, increased viscosity and improved mouthfeel, poorly executed formulations result in wasted time, lost revenue and an inferior product.

Brand owners and food scientists looking to gain deeper insights into protein trends and the formulating challenges will be excited to attend Global Food Forums’ 2016 Protein Trends and Technologies Seminar, hosted on May 3rd-4th 2016 at the DoubleTree-Hilton in Oakbrook, Illinois. The event will focus on providing R&D and food scientists with practical advice on how to work with protein ingredients. Imbibe Beverage Scientist Justin Cline will be giving a presentation titled “Formulating Protein Beverage: Real World Challenges and Tactical Solutions”, in which he will address the myriad of challenges associated with formulating great-tasting protein beverages. The presentation will focus on tactical solutions to real world problems in order to avoid setbacks during development and scale-up. Attendees will improve their understanding of protein chemistry, functionality and stability, as well as gain useful knowledge of the various chemical and physical changes protein may undergo as a result of processing conditions.
