Improve product launch with Imbibe’s new Technical Services Team

Karen HeadshotNiles, IL – Imbibe is excited to announce the creation of its Technical Services Team, a new division focused on delivering innovative solutions to ingredient technology, quality systems management, and regulatory compliance for new beverage products.  The Technical Services team works closely with Product Developers to integrate all aspects of new product commercialization.

The new team researches and procures novel ingredients, prior to their review of each product label to ensure compliance. Identifying claims that may be used in marketing, both domestically and internationally, is another crucial role of the Tech Services Team.  In addition to these solutions, the team is responsible for evaluating key product characteristics to provide guidance on how to best ensure the successful transition of the product from ideation to full scale production.

By bringing these services in-house, Imbibe addresses regulatory, quality, and commercialization questions early in the development process, minimizing the delays sometimes associated with new product launches.

Imbibe’s Technical Services Team is led by Karen Lewis J.D., who is both a licensed attorney and former product developer, and therefore brings a unique perspective to the product development process. Lewis completed her undergraduate studies at Purdue University in Agricultural & Biological Engineering and began her career as a plant engineer. She later moved into roles within Research & Development and Quality Innovation, working on a variety of food and beverage products.  She holds two patents for her work on a grain-based food product and a high fiber baked food. Prior to joining Imbibe, Lewis was a Regulatory Affairs Manager at MOM Brands and a Quality Innovation Engineer at PepsiCo.

Imbibe is recognized as a leading innovator in the beverage industry for its ability to transform concepts into successful products, a process which is now improved, with the addition of the in-house Technical Services Team.
