Ingredient Documentation Specialist

Overview:

The Ingredient Documentation Specialist will be a member of Imbibe’s Ingredient Documentation Team holding key responsibilities of generating and maintaining Safety Data Sheets, Product Data Sheets, and 100g Nutritionals along with acting as the Quality point of contact for completion of customer requests.  This individual will play a key role in leading Safety Data Sheet development and act as subject matter expert on GHS impact assessments across Imbibe category space.  The Ingredient Documentation Specialist will be a critical member of Imbibe’s Quality department ensuring all technical customer-facing documentation is up-to-date, completed, and maintained to drive best Quality practices and optimal supplier experience for our customers. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Safety Data Sheet development and generation and act as subject matter expert on GHS impact assessments 
  • Generate and maintain item Product Data Sheets and 100g Nutritionals
  • Review and maintain customer-facing technical documentation to ensure document validity
  • Manage up-to-date contract manufacturing facility documentation
  • Communicate and collaborate with contract manufacturing teams
  • Serve as Quality point of contact for completion of customer quality requests via multiple forms of communication
  • Generate and maintain finished flavor production labels
  • Support the Kosher certification process of Imbibe supplied materials
  • Communicate with contract manufacturing locations to supply all necessary documentation for commercialization 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Food or Beverage Industry – Regulatory, Quality Assurance, or Technical Role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
  • Knowledge of TraceGains, SharePoint, Wrike, and product formulation software is preferred
  • Working knowledge 21 CFR 117 FDA Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA), 21 CFR 101.22, HACCP/HARPC
  • Organized and detail-oriented with analytical and technical decision-making skills 
  • Experience in good record keeping practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, quick problem solving, and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments
