Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Finance to join our fast-growing company. As Senior Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company and ensuring that the business is financially sound and profitable.

 

Responsibilities:

Strategic planning:

• Serve as a financial advisor to the executive team for strategic planning purposes
• Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and department heads, enabling them to make informed decisions that drive growth and profitability

Financial planning and analysis:

• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively
• Oversee of strategic planning, including investments and annual operating budgets, to ensure optimal utilization of financial resources
• Lead cross functional teams to discover, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to perform strategic analysis and research

Management:

• Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, ensuring that they are motivated, engaged, and perform to their full potential
• Oversee accounting team (team is well established and includes CPA certified manager and team of accounting professionals) 

Reporting:

• Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports

Controlling and compliance:

• Develop and maintain financial controls and risk management procedures to minimize financial risks to the company
• Ensure a company complies with tax laws and regulations specific to that industry
• Manage insurance coverage for the organization, including compliance

Continuous improvements:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to meet the company's goals and objectives

Stakeholder management:

• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and banks

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• MBA is preferred
• 7-10 years of experience in a financial management role
• Ambitious, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, commercial, highly analytical, clear communicator, comfortable with ambiguity
• Proven track record of driving financial performance and growth
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
• Experience with financial software and systems
