Supplier Compliance Associate

Overview:

The Supplier Compliance Associate will be a member of Imbibe’s Ingredient Documentation Team holding key responsibilities in assisting with the implementation of the Supplier Approval Program and analyzing supplier documentation to ensure accuracy and overall compliance.  This individual will set up, maintain, and monitor vendor profiles and respective raw materials within the TraceGains supplier platform.  The Supplier Compliance associate will play an integral part within the Quality department to ensure Imbibe’s suppliers are qualified and to drive best industry practices by keeping up-to-date and valid raw material documentation. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of Supplier Approval Program for suppliers
  • Set up raw material suppliers in TraceGains
  • Review and analyze supplier documentation for completion, accuracy, and supplier compliance 
  • Monitor vendor profiles and approved supplier list 
  • Collaborate directly with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to monitor new suppliers and raw materials used in development
  • Aid in creation/dashboards of supplier and respective raw material risk assessments
  • Maintain raw material documentation and communicate with suppliers to request required documentation such as spec sheets, ingredient statements, nutritional data, allergen statements, Kosher certification, GMO statements, etc. 
  • Communicate and collaborate with contract manufacturing teams
  • Support technical documentation Product Data Sheet, 100g Nutritional, and Safety Data Sheet generation when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Food or Beverage Industry – Regulatory, Quality Assurance, or Technical Role
  • Proficiency in TraceGains and Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel)
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Wrike (or equivalent project management software), and product formulation software is preferred
  • Working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 117 Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), GFSI or equivalent, and HACCP/HARPC
  • Organized and detail-oriented with analytical and technical decision-making skills 
  • Experience in good record keeping practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, quick problem solving, and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments
