Financial Analyst

Overview:

Imbibe is looking for a Financial Analyst with a strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The main objective of this role is to drive sustainable financial growth by managing financial aspects of client relationships and developing and executing pricing strategies that align with the company's business goals.

This position is crucial to Imbibe's profitability and long-term growth, and the Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the sales team, providing them with analytical support to make informed decisions regarding the financial aspects of client relationships.
  • Determine pricing for all Imbibe products, including flavors, ingredient systems, and turnkey solutions, utilizing cost plus and market methods.
  • Conduct cost audits to check projected costs versus actual costs, and ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded in the company's financial records.
  • Analyzing and reporting on financial data related to the client's orders, such as costs, margins, and profitability, and identifying trends or issues that may impact financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, procurement, and sales, to gather relevant information for pricing analysis.
  • Generate customer quotes and review pricing information in customer-facing documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct regular cost updates on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Communicate with the procurement team and co-manufacturers to ensure accurate and timely cost updates are implemented.
  • Analyze the impact of cost changes on profitability and provide recommendations for pricing adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor discrepancies between preliminary and final customer quotes, investigate key drivers of these discrepancies, and adjust pricing models to increase accuracy.
  • Maintain pricing databases, dashboards, and reports and provide relevant insights to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve pricing tools to ensure accurate and efficient price development.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or beverage industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data, and draw meaningful insights.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with experience using advanced formulas and functions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and procurement.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to find solutions to complex problems.
